Definitely the most creative combination of art and technology I have seen in a long time!
The artist placed a GPS device in a briefcase and mailed it around the world. He provided precise travel instructions which DHL carried out over the course of a 55 day period. After receiving the package, the artist had only to read out the GPS data which formed a virtual self-portrait that spread over 62 countries on all 6 continents, covering 110,664 km.
Click on the images for more information about this beautiful project which could be a publicity stunt for DHL (they really seem to know how to drive mail around in circles)
Unfortunally, as Pedro pointed out and Engadget posted today, this is a big hoax. Even if this didn’tactually happen, it’s still a great idea. Now let’s do this for real!!!
